SELFIE SPRAYPAINT PRINTER

Rutger de Vries reacts with his kinetic self-esteem on the current (mobile) internet society. On one hand, we are anonymous and, on the other hand, narcissistic. With this self-built printer, he produces huge self portraits on any imaginable background print. A glimpse of painting and graffiti art, but without wasting hands.

Currently Rutger de Vries is resident at the Amsterdam Academy of the Rijksmuseum. De Vries did the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the Master Workshop Typography at ArtEZ University of Arts.
